Hi there, and welcome. If you've found your way to this little corner of the internet, you've likely felt that quiet (or maybe not-so-quiet) pull toward something more. It warms my heart to see so many people today turning toward their spiritual selves, seeking a deeper connection to the world around them.
But let's be honest: starting that journey today can be incredibly overwhelming.
Pick up your phone, and you’re instantly flooded with a million different voices, all screaming, “Try it my way!” You’ll see promises of "the one true path" or how to "change your life in 15 minutes." It’s a storm of information overload, and it can leave you feeling more lost than when you started.
That’s why this space exists. I want this blog to be a quiet place to rest in the middle of that storm.
My journey here was a long one. When I was feeling lost spiritually, I started exploring in the mid 90s, a time when things were very different. There was no information overload; there was information scarcity. I vividly remember scouring the single four-foot "New Age" shelf in the bookstore, hoping for a new arrival. I’d check out the same few library books over and over. We had to dig, experiment, and learn in the quiet, often teaching ourselves because there was no one else to ask.
We had to figure it all out on our own. And my promise to you is that you won't have to.
I believe that the whole point of going through a struggle is to be able to turn around and make the path easier for the next person. The days of gatekeeping, of saying, “You have to struggle just like I did,” need to be over. The spiritual path is already a challenging and beautiful road to walk; just getting started shouldn't be the hardest part anymore.
So, here's what you can expect from me:
No dogma. No "right way." My core belief is that spirituality is not owned by any one tradition. It’s a deeply personal journey. I will never present my way as law. Think of me not as a guru, but as a fellow traveler who is a few miles further down the road, leaving some trail markers for you.
We are all eternal students. I’ve been on this path for over two decades, and the one thing I know for sure is that there is no "mastery." The moment you think you've mastered something, you realize you're just a beginner at the next level. We are here to learn until our very last day.
To help you on your way, I’ve started this blog with two main areas:
My Foundations: These are the tools and core principles that have become the bedrock of my own practice. When I feel lost or out of alignment, these are the things I return to. They are not rules. They are simply my foundation, shared in the hope that you can adapt whatever resonates with you to build your own.
My Stories: Here, I’ll share my experiences and insights from the road. My hope is that these stories will inspire you, challenge you, and most importantly, encourage you to seek out your own teachings and find your own answers.
As this space grows, you can look forward to more focused series exploring specific topics in greater depth.
Ultimately, I hope my words can help demystify the mystical and empower you to walk your path with confidence. Thank you for being here. Please, make yourself comfortable, and let's walk together for a while. I invite your to begin with the first post in my Foundations series about Rituals.
